I have sold these products in my clinic. What do I need to do now?
Remove any remaining stock from sale. Please provide all known customers who have purchased the affected products with a copy of the customer letter, available for download HERE. If you are unable to identify all affected customers, kindly display the relevant Public Notice (Australia or New Zealand) prominently within your clinic for a minimum of three (3) months. Please confirm to Advanced Skin Technology via response to this acknowledgement form HERE that you are aware of this action and have completed these requirements.
I have removed all affected products from sale. What should I do with them?
Please inform Advanced Skin Technology of the quantity of stock currently in your inventory by completing the acknowledgement form linked above. To request your refund, please follow this link HERE. Upon notification, a member of our team will be in contact to process your refund or credit for any affected stock on hand. All affected inventory should be appropriately disposed of once the process is complete.
What are the expiry dates of the affected batches?
Are the other products in the Aspect Suncare range affected?
No. This Urgent Recall applies only to Aspect Sun Physical Sun Protection SPF50+ and Aspect Sun Tinted Physical SPF50+. All other products in the Aspect Sun range remain unaffected.
How are you verifying the accuracy of the SPF testing?
An independent laboratory with recognised ISO 24444 expertise is verifying current batches. Our in-house Regulatory and Quality Team is reviewing and assessing all results.
Are you still working with the current manufacturer?
Manufacturing of these products has been paused pending completion of independent testing. After receiving the results, our focus will be on evaluating suppliers and processes to ensure the quality and efficacy of our products.
What are you doing to prevent this from happening again?
We are having all our sunscreen products, physical and chemical-based, independently tested, and have committed to ensuring these products are tested every 18 months to ensure all current and future batches are as effective as claimed on the label.
We are currently assessing our suppliers and processes to ensure we have the highest level of control of our quality and effectiveness moving forward.
